Aquaculture -
Often referred to as fish or aquafarming, is the art, science
and business of cultivating aquatic animals and plants in
fresh or marine waters. In North West Puerto Rico aquaculture
is a a new industry that is expanding with production
valued in the millions of dollars. Aquaculture or aquafarming, both private and public,
are environmentally friendly and provide job opportunities
that, in turn, supply the marketplace with quality products
grown in clean waters.

Spiny
Lobster - ( Panulirus argus ) All Sizes 1.5 Lb and UP
!! One of Boriquen Aquacultures primary
focuses is the Spiny Lobster for cage culture off the western
coast of Puerto Rico. We are presently in the process of
installing our patented Larvae collectors aptly
named ( Sweeper ). When enough Larvae are
collected they will then be placed into our Proprietary
Design Grow out Cages. We have year
round orders.
Queen Conch -
(Strombus) Queen conchs are highly valued as a nutritious and
cheap food. The soft parts of the body are used for fish bait
or are discarded. The well-developed foot muscle of the queen
conch provides the sweet white meat so highly prized. They are
used, for chowder and salad. They are also collected for their
shells in shallow waters. Excluding the shell, 35% of the
animal's weight is marketable meat.
Conch is one of the most important export fisheries in the

Caribbean "Onaga", this delicious fish
can easily yield up to 50+% in meat This is another
deep-ocean Snapper that is seldom caught any shallower than
300 or 400 feet, and is probably most common
